As Experts on the Paris Agreement, EcoCitizen is deeply committed to this landmark 2015 multilateral milestone, which unites nations in limiting global temperature rise to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, with efforts to cap it at 1.5°C. The Agreement’s focus on mitigation, adaptation, transparency, and finance for climate-resilient development mirrors our core mission to cut GHG emissions sharply, foster regenerative systems, and ensure positive net effects for people, planet, and purpose through rigorous science and ethical innovation.
EcoCitizen actively supports the Paris Agreement by empowering governments, organizations, and communities with tailored strategies, including NDC alignment, NAP development, SBTi target-setting, and data-driven tools for emissions reduction and climate action. Our team’s expertise in UNFCCC processes, combined with international engagements like COP delegations and partnerships across Europe, Latin America, and beyond, enables us to advance global equity, technology transfer, and long-term resilience. EcoCitizen is contributing to the Paris Agreement’s vision of a sustainable future within planetary boundaries.
We are a company committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Thanks to the institutional work we carry out with companies, public sector, and education institutions, we have a large influence area where we can support and motivate the compliance of the SDGs across different sectors. However, through our projects we can contribute to meeting targets in each of the 17 objectives through data-driven generation.
One of our sector works is education, thanks of that we can contribute with generation of information, supporting the targets of the objective 4, quality education.
Also, we are aware about how the climate change can affect more women than men, and the importance to consider their necessities and listen to their contributions for the sustainability. That’s why all our projects respond to the targets of the goals 5 (gender equality), 10 (reduce inequalities) and 13 (climate action).
In our vision to drive positive change in the business and make it sustainable, we contribute through ESG principles to saving and efficiently using resources such as water, energy and soil in business, always reducing wastage and promoting the conservation of terrestrial and marine ecosystems through R+D, all in aid of goals 6 (clean water and sanitation), 7 (affordable energy), 8 (decent work and economic growth), 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure), 12 (responsible consumption and production), 14 (life below water) and 15 (life on land).
Institutions are very important on the road to making our communities a sustainable place, togetherness of they make the process strong and continuous in achieving the of the objectives which why we seek to bring together different sectors and strengthen them, supporting the goals 11 (sustainable cities and communities), 16 (peace, justice, and strong institutions) and 17 (partnerships for the goals).

We support the Sustainable Development Goals

As a United Nations Accredited Research & Academia Observer, EcoCitizen is deeply committed to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). The CBD, adopted in 1992, sets forth three core objectives: conserving biological diversity, promoting its sustainable use, and ensuring fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from genetic resources. These objectives align with EcoCitizen’s mission to drive regenerative impacts beyond sustainability. Through rigorous public-interest science, ethical digitalisation, and nature-based solutions, we support these goals by helping organizations and governments integrate biodiversity considerations into strategies for climate-resilient development, ecosystem restoration, and planetary health.
Building on the CBD, the Kunming-Montreal GBF, adopted at COP15 in 2022, provides a transformative pathway to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030, with four long-term goals for 2050 and 23 action-oriented targets that emphasize conservation, sustainable management, and equity. EcoCitizen actively contributes to this framework through our delegation to UNCBD COPs, advanced R&D in enhanced environmental monitoring and digital platforms for real-time ecosystem data, and partnerships that amplify voices from the Global South, indigenous communities, and youth. By empowering stakeholders with data-driven tools and interdisciplinary expertise, we advance the GBF’s vision of living in harmony with nature, while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and fostering positive net effects for all life on Earth.
As an accredited Actor in the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), EcoCitizen is deeply committed to halting ecosystem degradation and scaling up restoration efforts worldwide to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Our mission aligns with the Decade’s vision, as we leverage rigorous scientific research, ethical digital tools, and interdisciplinary partnerships to empower governments, organisations, and communities in restoring hundreds of millions of hectares of degraded lands. Through nature-based solutions like green infrastructure deployment, carbon sequestration enhancement, and biodiversity monitoring, we drive regenerative outcomes that not only combat climate change and build resilience but also generate economic benefits, foster equity, and ensure positive net effects for people, planet, and purpose.
By participating as an Actor, EcoCitizen amplifies global collaboration, from policy advocacy at UN events to on-the-ground initiatives in Europe, Latin America, and beyond. We commit to building technical capacity, innovating data-driven platforms for real-time ecosystem tracking, and promoting values-based restoration that centres human rights, indigenous knowledge, and long-term planetary health. EcoCitizen is doing our part to put nature on a trajectory of thriving for generations to come.

As a United Nations Accredited Research & Academia Observer, EcoCitizen is deeply committed to the UN’s foundational mission of fostering international cooperation, peace, human rights, and sustainable development since its establishment in 1945. This commitment is particularly evident in our support for the UN at 80, marking the organization’s 80th anniversary in 2025 through the UN80 initiative which is a system-wide reform effort launched by Secretary-General António Guterres to enhance the UN’s agility, efficiency, and impact in addressing today’s interconnected global challenges.
EcoCitizen aligns with the UN80 goals by leveraging rigorous science, ethical digital tools, and interdisciplinary partnerships to advance the Sustainable Development Goals, streamline mandate delivery, and promote equity for people, planet, and purpose. Our active participation in UN events, COP delegations, and research on climate resilience and planetary health contributes to these reforms, ensuring a more responsive multilateral system that drives regenerative futures and positive net effects for all life within planetary boundaries.
At EcoCitizen, we acknowledge that global environmental challenges—such as the increasing burden of infectious and non-communicable diseases, heat-related mortality, and decreasing nutrition—pose enormous risks to our health and well-being. In partnership with a global network of scientists, educators, policymakers, and practitioners, we work to address these risks and transform them into opportunities for action. EcoCitizen is proud to be a member of the Planetary Health Alliance, helping to safeguard our planet and our health while ensuring a thriving future for humanity and all forms of life.

We know about how the climate change is negative for our health, how the air, water and soul quality affect our way of life. Because of that, we work with the Global Consortium on Climate Change and Health Education of Columbia. With our knowledge of the effects of climate change, we are committed to improving the skills of health professionals by providing support in education and health. We believe that by working together, we can find better solutions to adapt and mitigate to the health impacts of climate change.
Ecocitizen is part of the Rural Pact Community Platform as part of the Long ‘Term Vision for EU’s rural areas. With our participation we are committed to contribute to a sustainable future of rural areas and its people.

At Ecocitizen, our team is constantly working against discrimination and growing through different learning opportunities. These efforts have led us to the position of EU Pact for Skills Leader, an initiative through which we receive expert support with upskilling and reskilling. This includes education on topics such as regional projects, tools, policies, and practices in multiple industries. Furthermore, it provides cooperation and partnership options in the European Union with national and international authorities.
We believe companies have a duty to protect human rights and address related concerns in every step of our operations and throughout our value chain. By signing the National Pact of Business and Human Rights, we reinforce our commitment to implement due diligence in these matters. We continuously work on taking actions to understand how we, as part of the private sector, are associated with risks to human rights and how to correctly manage them.

Signing the Diversity Charter of Luxembourg reflects our dedication to operating under principles of equal opportunities, evaluating our progress in matters of inclusivity and involving our partners in said efforts.
We believe that technology and nature must work in harmony to drive a sustainable future. As part of this commitment, EcoCitizen is proud to be a member of the Nature Tech Collective, a non-profit member alliance, accelerator, and intelligence unit dedicated to advancing the adoption of nature-based solutions and closing the nature-finance gap. Together, we aim to transform challenges into opportunities, ensuring that human and natural systems coexist and thrive for generations to come.

When it comes to resources, EcoCitizen recognizes their variety and role in every industry. That is why we decided to join the Capitals Coalition, to work with a global community on tools to understand our impact and dependency on capital. This way, the inherent value of different capitals can be accounted in the decision-making process. By identifying its importance, we advance towards a fairer and more sustainable world.
